Privacy policy

This policy explains what data Almarketo LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use the FROST PLAYER app and the website frostplayer.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. FROST PLAYER is a media player: it does not include, sell or provide any TV channels, films, series or playlists.
Who is responsible

What we collect
- Device identifiers: a MAC-style ID generated by the app for your device, a 6-digit device key, and a one-way hash of a secret stored by the app (used to stop another installation from taking over your device).
- Device details: device model, app version, when the device was registered and when the app last connected.
- Trial and activation status: trial end date, activation end date or lifetime status, and the activation code used.
- Playlists you add: name, playlist or server address, Xtream Codes username and password, optional EPG address and optional PIN. These are sent only to the device they belong to.
- Quick send logs: when a playlist is sent with only a MAC address, we record the time and the sender's IP address to prevent abuse.
- Website session cookies: a strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in on the Manage page. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
- Server logs: our hosting and security providers process IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the service.
- Purchases through Google Play: payment is handled by Google. We receive confirmation of the purchase (such as an order ID and status), never your card details.
The app does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos or viewing history on our servers. Favorites, watch progress and settings are stored only on your device.
How we use it
- To deliver your playlists to your own device and let you manage them (performance of our service).
- To run the free trial, activations and activation codes, and prevent repeated free trials (performance of our service and our legitimate interest).
- To keep the service secure, rate-limit quick sends and investigate abuse (legitimate interest).
- To answer you when you contact us, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel (website and API hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (DNS and security), Google (Google Play distribution and payments).
These providers act on our instructions. Data is stored and processed in the United States and other countries where they operate, using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
How long we keep it
- Device, activation and playlist data: until you delete it, or until you ask us to.
- Quick send logs: 30 days.
- After you delete your device we keep only a one-way hash of its MAC ID and its trial end date, so the free trial cannot be restarted. It cannot be used to identify you.
Your choices and rights
- Delete playlists at any time on the Manage page.
- Delete your device and all its data yourself: sign in on the Manage page and use "Delete my device and data".
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data and to object to or restrict its use. Email [email protected] with your MAC address; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Device keys are required to view or change playlists, website sign-in is rate limited, and access to our systems is restricted. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children
FROST PLAYER is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for important changes, show a notice on the website.
